How much can I fit into one U-Load cage?
Each cage measures approximately 1.5m x 2m and can fit the contents of a student room, several larger furniture items and moving boxes, depending on how efficiently everything is packed.
Can I book more than one cage?
Yes. If you need more space, you can book multiple cages to suit the size of your move.
How long does transport take?
Most U-Load shipments travel on our regular scheduled services between Morrinsville and Rolleston and typically arrive within a few days. We will confirm the expected timeframe when you book.
Do I load and unload the cage myself?
Yes. You load your belongings into the cage at the departure depot and unload them at the destination depot. Our team takes care of transporting the cage.
Are my belongings secure during transport?
Yes. Your belongings remain inside your allocated cage during transport and are carried on Vowles Transport's scheduled freight services.
Can I use U-Load for Gypsy Day moves?
Yes. U-Load is a practical option for smaller farm relocations where hiring and driving a full moving truck is not necessary.
What items cannot be transported?
Dangerous goods, hazardous materials, illegal items and certain restricted products cannot be transported. Our team can confirm whether your items are suitable before booking.
Can I move north as well as south?
Yes. U-Load operates between the Morrinsville and Rolleston depots in both directions.
